This shows zero bias potential energy solutions for a device structure like the DBRTD introduced earlier altered so that it is symmetric about the heterostructure quantum well. Using this device the potential space was scanned for symmetric self consistent solutions. Three separate symmetric self consistent globally space charge neutral solutions are found. Two of the solutions have quasi-bound states and are shown in red and green.
